Chapter 1:Legends
Place: Former site of Echidnapolis
   
Knuckles, guardian of the Floating Island and its' people, and the Chaos
Emeralds needed a break after taking some punches from Sonic when the
hedgehog when he turned into Super Sonic. Sonic probably has more cuts and
bruises then him. They started to fight when Knuckles just wanted to search
for the Lake of Rings, which is supposed to hold Power Rings and Chaos
Emeralds. That's when the fight happen. Sonic and Knuckles were probably
watch all over Mobius. There last hit blew each other out of the zone.
Rumors said no rings or emeralds survived, but Knuckles had save one.
Knuckles right now is packing up and going towards Lake Nessie. He heard
lately that people were disappearing with traces of blood. Also those
before they disappear claimed to hear weird animal sounds being heard near
the Dark Territory  of the Mushroom Forrest. 
Most of residents moved away from the lake and the mushroom forest.
Knuckles remembered his dad telling him about the 'Original Islanders'.  
Legend has it there were mythological creatures called dinosaurs that lived
on the Island  (which was part of Downwunda before it moved into the air.)
Knuckles read the story over and over in the Book of Myths. 
In the last age of the Saurian Age all the dinosaurs big and small look up
into the night skies and saw a great green light. Some of the dinosaurs ran
in fear. The smartest of them all called Raptors grabbed there related
cousins and went to an Island In Downwunda. They found a cavern covered by
hills, mushrooms, and a lake full of plesiosauruses. 
They killed animals and stored them in their new home. Soon the green light
came and crashed into Mobius shattering all over the planet. Clouds blocked
the skies, the creatures above the cavern died when the cold weather came.
Others died of lack of food and could not drink the water because it was
frozen. 
The dinosaurs that survived witnessed the coming of the Chaos Emeralds. The
Raptors came out of the cavern and witness the Ancient Walkers. The raptors
saw that the land they knew was gone. Plants were destroyed, water frozen,
and no more food. 
The Dactyl Walker came up to them and said, "The land will change for a
while, stay in your cave for the next three weeks then come out to see it.
You will have enough food and water if you all explore the cavern." The
raptors obeyed. Soon they started hunting again."

"That's were the story ends. I remember Nala. She claims she met the
'Walkers' and they told her the stories of the dinosaurs. 
 It's only been three months since Robotnik came to my island. If that's
him terriozing my island again. Well I"ll kick his robobutt off my island
for good!" Knuckles said. Then he left for Lake Nessie.
                                                     
Chapter2:Bloody Encounters   
Place: Lake Nessie, Nina

Three squirrels were having a night out in their back yard. Two of them
were Floating Island's greatest scientist. They heard that Lake Nessie had
very unusual sounds coming from the Mushroom Forrest. Sound sensors were
place all around their fence to pick up the sounds. 
Inside the fence were two tents. One contain the two scientists and the
other one contain a 12 year old squirrel. She listen to the crickets and
then all the sounds stop. She heard growls, snarls and screeches. 
It sounded as it was at the outside of the fence. She ran out of her tent
and went into her parents' tent.  "Daddy! Mommy! The noise is outside the
fence," she said. 
"Okay princess, don't worry. Honey wake up. Its time," her dad said. 
"Klye, help your dad set up the sonar equipment," her mom said. Soon as the
equipment was set up, Klye hold her mother's arm. "Do not be afraid Klye,
were just going to try to get a picture to read out of what causes the
sound," Klye's mom said. 
"Mommy I want to go now, my friend Shelly went to the Marble Zone," Klye
said. Her dad said, "I got a readout outside the fence."  
Just as he said that, creatures jump over the fence.  One of the creatures
jumped on her dad and started to rip him up to pieces. Blood and skin flew
all over while her dad was screaming his head off. 
Her mom went into the tent to pull out a gun, but the other creature jump
right on top of her and started to rip her up. 
Klye  ran to the fence. Tears were streaming down her cheeks. She saw the
two creatures finishing her parents off. One of them jumps right in front
of her. She saw a snout, she look into its eyes. They were green and
yellow, the skin on its body were yellow and green. Down at its feet that
scared her the most, it had talons on each side of its foot. It was about
to attack her when she heard, "Don't  kill her! is not ready to die."  The
creatures took the lifeless bodies away and disappeared into the silent
night. She curled up and started to cry.
Knuckle has finally made it to Lake Nessie. He pulled out his map from his
backpack. AS he looked at it, the closest town was Nina.  After an hours
walk, Knuckles finally made it to Nina. 
He noticed the town was very quiet. He walk to the nearest house and
knocked. A four foot tall rabbit answer the door. "How may I help you
guardian of the island?"  
"I heard that people were disappearing around here?" Knuckles said.  
"Not just here, but all around the lake. Nobody has ever seen the creatures
who stalks us except only one," the rabbit said.
 "She is a young squirrel," the rabbit said  " May I see her?" Knuckles
ask.  
"All right, but I doubt she will talk," the  rabbit said. "Why?"  
"Because she has been crying all night. She said that her parents were
killed by savage creatures," the rabbit said. The rabbit stop and open the
door. Knuckles saw the little squirrel curled up and crying. She was being
comfort by three kids and the rabbit's wife. "Common honey, kids, we got to
let the guardian  talk to the girl," the rabbit said. Behind him was two
older rabbits behind the dad.
  
"Hi my name is Knuckles."
"My name is {sniff, sniff,} Klye."
"Tell me who killed your parents Klye?''
"Muuuu …uuuunnnn.. sstersss, (sniff)"
"What monsters," Knuckles ask.
"They have teeth, (sniff), sharp claws, talons," Klye said, "there the
mythological monsters."
Knuckles knew what she was talking about. This was not Robotnik's doing.
"Don't worry Klye, as guardian of the Floating Island I'll kick their butts
off of it. Take me to your home please," Knuckles said.  
"I am not going back there, too many memories," Klye said, " I'll tell you
where I live."
 
Knuckles was at Klye's house. He saw the tents destroyed, their were also
traces of blood on the grass. He decided to stay here at night to see if
the monsters will come back. AS the hours went by a scream shouted into the
air. Knuckles jump over the fence and started to run, then he jumped into
the air and glided to the rabbit's house.
 
Chapter 3: Blood Shred
Place: Rabbit's Home
Soon as Knuckles got to the Rabbit's house, their door was rip from their
hinges. In the living room lay the adult rabbits' bodies on the floor. Both
bodies were slash up, blood was splattered on the walls and the floors.
Then a scream came from above.

Klye was with the two young rabbits' in their room. They watch as the
monsters were killing the other older sons.  The monsters stared at the
children while they scream. 
" Hey stop scaring the kids." Then a punch was aim at one of the monsters.
" The guardian of the island is here, pick up the bodies and go. Swatiski
stay here and kill him," the monster's voice said. 
"Yes Dromies," Swatiski said. The raptors jump out the window with the
bodies. Knuckles punch him a couple more times.
 Swatiski whip his tail at Knuckles' face. Then used one of his talons
against him. Knuckles step back a moment. Holding his wound he let the
raptor go downstairs to pick up the bodies. 
Klye went to hug Knuckles along with the two rabbits.  "Are you okay
guardian?" Both rabbits ask at the same time.  "No not really, I'm bleeding
very bad."  
Klye ran down stairs to the bathroom to get the med. Kit the rabbit showed
her. Then ran back to the room. "Here lie down Knuckles while I patch you
up." Ten minutes later Knuckles said, "Thank you Klye, for helping with my
wounds."  "Think nothing of it Rad Red, my mom taught me how to do this
stuff ever since I turned 12 weeks ago," Klye said.  "I've been guarding
the island since I was only ten now I'm 13," Knuckles said.

Dromies saw Aries up ahead and made his fellow raptors stop. "Why did we
stop?"  
"So we can wait for Swatiski to catch up with us. I never abandon  my
raptors," Dromies said.
5 minutes later Swatiski caught up with the raptors. "Dromies Knuckles is
now wounded." 
"Good, now lets go home and feed our clan."
"But sir what if he comes looking for us. Clearly he'll follow in Edmund's
footsteps to find us," Dienus said. "Then the Ancient Walkers will make him
and the people forget about us," Dromies snarled. "And if they do not
Dromies?" Gares said. "Then he will disappear like his farther forever."
Aries stared in Dromies' eyes thinking that this leader should be killed.

Knuckles pack  put  water in his back pack so he can go out looking for the
killers. "Stay here while I am gone," He said. But Klye said, "No way Knux,
I'm going with you. I want those damn things dead!"
"No and I mean no, someone needs to watch an eye on those young rabbits."
Knuckles jump out the window and glided towards the Dark Territory of
Mushroom Forrest.

Chapter 4: Memories
Place: Mushroom Forrest Dark Territory

Knuckles enter the Forrest remembering the legends of this place. His dad
told him if he ever wondered in there follow your instincts. He also
remembered why Edmund came here. He always pestered his dad just to tell
the story over and over.

"Dad come on! Tell about Edmund going to the dark jungle."  
"Would you rather play with Princess Sally Acorn Knuckles? After all she is
waiting for us along with her farther King Acorn at the Carnival Night?"
Knuckles' dad ask.
"No! I want to here about Edmund in the forest with the Walkers," Knuckles
said.  
"Okay son. It began when he first became the guardian of the Floating
Island. He went to Lake Nessie because rumors said that some beast lived in
the lake. Natives called it Nessie. A mythological creature called a
dinosaur. You see there were all kinds of them. They never exist because no
bones were found of them. Soon as he arrived the dingo and the rabbits
reported people dying and disappearing around the lake. Edmund first check
in the woods. Soon he was in the middle the forest, he saw hills. 
"As Edmund reached the top, bones were all over bottom of the hills. He
examined one of them. A skull that looked liked the T. Rex. But this bone
still had some pieces of skin on it. Then the Walkers arrived behind him.
Edmund was shocked to see them. They raised their hands and a bright flash
appeared. Edmund was not at the hills anymore. The skull was gone and he
realized that dinosaurs would remain a myth on Mobius.  
"Also in the story there giant pods that were in the forest and other weird
things," his dad told his son. 

Knuckle was then pulled out of his memory and up into the air. A green vine
pulled Knuckles towards the purple and yellow pod. "Oh-Oh"   The pods open
its mouth wide. Knuckles fist turn his  into hyper knuckles. He slices one
vine off. Pink blood spattered all over him while it scream. He started
slicing more vines off. The pod still screaming and bleeding,  and drop
Knuckles onto the ground, head first.

        Klye saw Knuckles unconscious up ahead. She pulled him into an open part
of the woods. She pulled out a bottle of water and poured it on his face.
Knuckles awaken and saw Klye staring at him. He felt something in him. He
was in love with her but now was not the time to think of love. She bent
towards him with her lips ready to kiss, but Knuckles moved out of the way
and she kissed the dirt instead.  
"Yuck!" Yelled Klye. "Why the hell you did that?" She screamed. 
"Why you disobey me and try to kiss me?" Knuckles ask.
"First I wanted to come and kick those things asses and I felt like kissing
you!" Kyle said.
"Well now your going to get it." 
Knuckles grab her by the waist and kissed her on the lips. Then Klye Kiss
him back.  "So where did you put the rabbits?" Knuckles asked. "I put them
in a neighbors' house and told them what happen." Then they fell asleep. 
                                  *         *           * 
Below the Floating Island lied a cave with a civilization full of many
species of raptors. In one of the rooms lied two raptors watching the
monitoring screens.  "Looks like the guardian is coming to us," said Aries.
The other raptor  look at the screen. He remembered that squirrel and her
parents he killed a night ago. "Gares what's wrong?"
"That girl, I killed her parents a night ago."  
"But Dromies said that she had no parents."
"Aye she did. And he killed another family."
"That's it I can't stand Dromies anymore. I am going to challenge him to
fight to the death in the morning,"

Dromies kneeled in front of the Ancient Walkers Shrines and said, "Walkers,
I have heard from Gares that Knuckles is coming here, what should I do?"
"Show yourself to him and the world."


Chapter 5: Bones
Time: Early Morning. Friday
Place: Dark Territory 

Knuckles awaken from his sleep. He noticed that Klye was not here. Then he
felt a hard ball in back of his head. He look at the round shape. It had
green and blue coloring. Then he felt another one. Knuckles look up into
the tree and saw Klye on a tree branch with the fruit. Klye started
laughing at Knuckles. "Come on down here hot head."
"I do not think so Knux, I rather sit up here and throw fruit at your red
face," Klye said. 
Knuckles went to the tree and punch it with both fists. She felt the tree
all shaken up. She look at her branch and saw it breaking. She then jump at
the next tree and climbed down it. "Why the hell did you do that? I
could've been killed you idiot." Knuckles look at her and said, "I doubt
that squirelly."
Klye went down to the ground and did a roundhouse. Knuckles fell down and
felt a boot on top of his chest. "Look Red I'm probably more athletic then
you. So eat these fruit and lets find these monsters and kick their asses.
                                  *            *          *
Dromies went to the shrine again and said, "Walkers I refuse to show my
clan to the world."  
"You must show yourselves so you can explore the Island," first walker
said.  "You must also immigrate to another part of the Island," the other
walker said.  
"And share it with its' people," the third walker said.  
Then the walkers stop talking. "Very well. I'll let the people see me and
my clan, but we won't share it and they won't live in piece," Dromies said.

In the monitoring room Aries and Gares heard Dromies' plan. "That's it I'm
going to challenge him now," Aries said. The intercom came on. "All raptors
please be at the challengers' ring. I have something to say," Dromies said.
 All the raptors were at the ring after the message. Only Gares was at the
monitoring room keeping an eye on Knuckles and Klye. "Dromies the guardian
is coming towards us."
"Then set a trap for him. I want the pleasure killing the guardian of the
Floating Island," Dromies said with a  smile.
                        *             *              *
Knuckles and Klye walk to the end of the forest. What they saw was
unbelievable. Hills that were covered with bones. Knuckles pick up a skull
with dagger like teeth and a huge brain casket that was bigger than echidna
kind. He was amazed that he found what Edmund discovered long ago. Klye was
feeling vengeance when she saw the skeletons and began breaking them apart.
 Knuckles thought that she better stay here. "Klye listen to me. I think
you better stay here," he said.
"Stay here! I don't think so. I want to kill the raptors who killed my
parents."
"That's the problem Klye. Your to full on anger and you can get killed
easily like that."
"Okay Knuckles, I will stay here and break some more bones," Klye said.
Knuckles took off walking on the hills leaving her behind. "I want revenge
so I'm coming. Whether or not I'm going," Klye said.   
                          *           *              *
Dromies was on top of the Challengers' Ring surrounded by all different
species of raptors. 
"Attention fellow raptors. It is time we leave this place and take our
island from these animals. We will conquer our area first and then the rest
of the island. And if anyone wishes to go against me please step up and
fight me if you want be leader." 
No one step up to challenge him but only one name Aries. "You dare  Aries!
Then prepare to die." 
The raptor in the Montitering room saw the squirrel. He told the guardian
of the Hills to capture her.

Klye went into another direction from Knuckles. She made it to the top and
looked down the hills just to see more bone. Bones were not the only thing
down but a river, trees and grass. She felt she was being watch by someone.
Soon as she turned around a bright green raptor was behind her and  decided
not to fight!

Chapter 6: Discoveries
Time: High noon/ Friday
Place: The Hill

Knuckles finally made it the bottom of the hills. Up ahead him, he saw a
carcass. He went towards the body to examine it. Soon as he examined the
body he saw a raptor with its' eyes on the front of his head instead of the
side. 
The mighty Troodon jump with its' two feet in the air with its' talons
sticking out. Knuckles did not get a chance to move. The talons went into
his chest and scream. The Troodon then whip his tail right across his face.

Knuckles felt pain Right across his chest and his face. The raptors then
slash him again. More tail whips around his body. 
Knuckles pick up a bone and slam it on his head. "You bet that hurt. Can't
wait to show you my hyper knuckles." 
Soon as the raptor heard that he felt the knuckles on his side of his ribs.
The raptor then whip its tail across Knuckles' face, and so he down. 
Soon as Knuckles noticed he could not move or see noticed that the was
unconscious.  Knuckles had awaken from his deep sleep. He saw steel bars in
front of him and a squirrel that look very familiar and a crowd of raptors
watching two other raptors fighting.                
 
Chapter 7: Death Comes to All
Time: Friday 
Place: Raptor Caverns

Aries and Dromies have been fighting for the past ten minutes. Aries seemed
that he was winning while Dromies was losing. Been such a long time he
wanted to kill him. 
Dromies slash Aries across his belly spilling droplets of blood. Then a
tail whip Aries across face. Aries flew back and jump on his opponent's
back and dug his claws into Dromies. 
Dromies yelled in pain and pounce away. He looked at His wounds with blood
dripping from it.  Dromies pounce back on Aries, stuck his talons in him
and flip him over.  
Aries hit the jagged wall and yelled out loud. He step forward then jump
with his talons sticking out and stabbed   Dromies in the chest. 
Knuckles was staring at the fight with Klye holding onto the bars as she
was trying to break them. Earlier he tried to break the steel bars with his
fist. 
Klye pointed at the crowd and said, "Knuckles, theirs one of the raptors
coming at us." The raptor was Yellow and green carrying something that
looked like a key. 
Knuckles prepared his knuckles. Kye was looking for something to hit the
raptor with. In her boot was a sharp knife.  
"My name is Gares and I set you both free. Only if You get rid of Dromies.
He is planning to destroy the island with death of you and your others."
Then he unlock the prison.'
 Klye pulled out her knife soon as Gares open the cage. The knife was
stabbed into Gares chest then up a little. "You killed my family so I kill
you," Klye said. 
"I am sorry!" Gares said and fell down dead. 
Knuckles pounded his knuckles together and said, "Lets get Dromies!" 
At the time  Knuckles and Klye left Gares open his eyes and started to
breathe again.  
Aries and Dromies were still fighting there Battle to be the raptor's
leader. Aries did more slashes, pounces and tail whips. Then Aries jump on
Dromies' back And flips him over against the jagged wall. 
Dromies decided to play dead. Aries walk over to the body and kick it.
"Behold, your new clan leader!" At the time the other Raptors cheer.
Dromies stood up and jump on Aries, dug his talons into Aries' back, sink
his teeth into Aries' neck and flip him on the wall against the sharp rocks
were at. 
Aries had almost beaten him, but forgot that Dromies plays dead a lot.  His
last memory was his family and hoping that Dromies would suffer.  
"I have killed Aries and if anyone wants to challenge me like he did, you
will die." After the message he gave out, he saw a red blur right across
his face and felt Pain. "I do!" 

Chapter 8: The Fight
Time: Probably in the afternoon of 
Friday
Place: Raptor Caverns

Dromies stared at Knuckles and said, "How did you escape the cage?" 
"One of your raptors freed us by the name of Gares," Knuckles said, "and I
challenge you!" 
"Very well then, I'll kill you an even worse death then Aries," Dromies
said. 
        At that time Klye walk up to Knuckles and kissed him right on the lips.
"Please win Knux, your the only guy I ever loved."  
"Yeah me too," he said. 
Knuckles knew sooner or later she was going to meet Princess Sally. At that
time Dromies tails whip him in the face. Knuckles flew back and hit the
audience instead of the wall. Klye came up to him and kiss him again. "For
luck!" She said. 
He flew at Dromies with his knuckles in hyper mode and punch into 
Dromies snout with the blood running from his opponent's nostril.  Dromies
snarled and grunted and pounce on Knuckles and flip back.  Then Dromies
used his upper claws and slash Knuckles across his back. 
Knuckles was swearing out loud. He felt weak in just five minutes. He
glided to the wall and climbs to the ceiling. Dromies yelled at Knuckles.
"Get down here you red freak!"            
Knuckles saw one of the spikes hanging off the wall and punch it. The spike
fell down and missed Dromies. Dromies flip to the ceiling and pulled
Knuckles down. Knuckles hit the ground first, ignored the pain and hit the
raptor right in the face. Dromies slash him. In his mind he thought the
only way to end the fight was to bite and use his talons on Knuckles. He
jumps in the air with his talons ready to kill, but instead of hitting
Knuckles he hit the ground but it was not the caverns' ground.  
Chapter 9: Endings & Love
Time: Late Friday
Place: Unknown

Knuckle was sure he was about to die when he saw Dromies on the other side 
of him. Not only was his enemy here but the Ancient Walkers. Dromies awaken
from his sleep. The raptor went to the Walkers and bowed to them. "Ancient
Walkers, why did you not let finish to kill him?" 
"We ask you to show yourselves to the world," first walker said 
"I did decide to show my clan to the world"
"You did want to show your raptors, but with death," the other walker said.
 "You not only wanted death but to conquer the island and let more people
to suffer like your clan is now," the third walker said. 
Dromies was upset and jump at the Walkers. But the Walkers brought up a
wall of energy that look very familiar. Dromies flew into the energy wall
and scream.  A character walk out of the wall that look very familiar. It
was his dad. 
Knuckles began to cry while his dad walk towards him and hug him. "Dad,"
Knuckles said.  
"Son after three years of separation we only have a few minutes to talk.
You need to team up with the hedgehog that is with Princess Sally Acorn.
You may hate him but you must team up with him and some of your friends. 
Because the threat will be coming. Now I must go back." 
"Dad I miss you and I do not want you to go back," Knuckles said.
"I know son, but I have things to do, like you have to protect the island."

After that his dad went through the wall. The Walkers then wave their hands
and Knuckles was back at the caverns.
Epilogue
Knuckles told the raptors to live on the island or go on the main land
where more non talking animals were. Some went, some stayed. Klye and
Knuckles decided to travel together. Knuckles told her that he would
show the secrets about the island and more.  
Somewhere else lied a hedgehog dreaming a dream that would be the beginning
of a threat. And a giant snake with friend that was Sonic's twin.
